I can't remember when I didn't own a pair of penny loafers. They are my "go to" shoes! Thank you for continuing to sell them. I just bought your classic penny loafer and I am so happy with the style, color (mecca) and how wonderful they feel. I'm sending you a segment of the story I wrote for my granddaughter about the little adventures she takes with her family from Colorado to visit us in Illinois:
"Remember your first pair of penny loafers that your Grandma bought you?" asked Mommy. I replied, "Yes, they were just like Grandma's". "Grandpa took two pennies out of his coin pouch and he put them in my shoes!" I said. "Grandma and I rolled up our jeans above our white socks, so we could see the pennies in our shoes. Then we took a walk to Castle Creme to buy an ice cream cone, Grandma said we looked like two peas in a pod!"

I bought my first pair of Eastland shoes in about 1984. They are the boat style. When I bought these, they were the style EVERYONE was wearing. I wore them until I became pregnant with my daughter in 1997. I still have the original box and the shoes look very good. Since they are back in fashion, I have given them to my daughter who is now 13 so she can start off her 8th grade year in them. Since I substitute teach, I bought my 2nd pair of Eastland Shoes, Solstice. So standing on my feet all day with kids of all ages, my feet will feel good when I come home.

My Eastlands spent 2 weeks in Argentina with me last summer. The sidewalks of Buenos Aires are notoriously cracked and uneven and narrow, yet my Eastlands helped me navigate the sometimes wet, treacherous walkways with steady feet. My Eastlands also enjoyed a brisk horseback ride through the rural ranchlands of the Pampas, where horses are still the way to go from place to place. And, I must admit that I got in a tango lesson or two as well. While in Buenos Aires, knowing a few tango steps is helpful, and comfortable shoes make the learning curve a little shorter.

I love Eastland shoes. I even once ran a marathon with them on.

For my birthday, my husband took me to Napa/Sonoma Counties to enjoy some fabulous wine. I took along my Eastland Ontario's and Tracie's. I also took my tennis shoes. Between my two Eastland shoes, the tennis shoes never came out of the luggage! I was so impressed by the comfort, I just ordered the Speak Easy for dressier occasions. Thanks for making very comfortable and attractive shoes!

When we were stationed in Germany while my husband was deployed, I had a part time job delivering the Stars and Stripes, the military's newspaper. I had just bought my first pair of Eastlands. I walked and walked...delivering the papers for several months until he returned from Iraq. Not only did I break in those shoes, but I lost inches too. And now I will never buy any other brand for everyday wear.

I bought my very first pair of Eastland shoes about 5 years ago when I was planning my trip to Australia. They looked great and felt fantastic so I thought "These shoes will match most anything I wear while walking my way around Sydney and Melbourne." I certainly was surprised at the comfort level these Eastland shoes gave me. Never before had a pair of shoes felt so good on my feet. I walked all over the Blue Mountains, toured the Jenolan Caves and even walked along the beaches of the Central Coast of New South Wales quite well in them. I wore them when walking along the Great Ocean Road on the southern coast of Victoria as I scanned the coastline for the rock formations known as the Twelve Apostles. I am still wearing them till this day and they are holding up well. I have since purchased another pair of Eastlands... this time in brown with a cute buckle. These shoes fit my lifestyle and my feet to a "T". Eastland shoes are the only ones for me!

My Eastland clogs take me from work, to shopping, to running errands without my feet giving out. Unlike with most of my other shoes, my feet don't complain. They are without a doubt one of the most, if not the most, comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

I travel all over the Southeast but I also am responsible for our business development in the Caribbean Islands. I never leave home without my Eastlands, since they are my favorites. I get asked all the time "Where did you get those shoes...they look comfortable" and I tell them about Eastland and your website. The shoes travel great, are easy to shine at the airport and provide the needed comfort for long days. To date I have been to USVI, BVI, Puerto Rico, Turks & Caicos Islands, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Aruba, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada, Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago and Belize.
